Clare senior hurling manager Brian Lohan has kept faith with the same fifteen that prevailed over Waterford for Sunday’s Munster SHC semi-final against Tipperary.

In the announced team, there are positional switches with Tony Kelly named at centre forward flanked by Aron Shanagher and Aidan McCarthy. This reshuffle sees both David Reidy and Ryan Taylor listed as corner forwards with Ian Galvin at fourteen.

Fresh from making his first championship start at the age of 30, Paidi Fitzpatrick continues at wing-back in the same line as Diarmuid Ryan and John Conlon. Behind them is Rory Hayes, Conor Cleary and Paul Flanagan with Eibhear Quilligan between the posts.

2013 All Star Colm Galvin partners Cathal Malone at midfield.

The Clare Echo understands that Shane O’Donnell will not feature in the Banner’s matchday 26 as he recovers from a concussion injury. David McInerney is included among the substitutes and is expected to get game time.

Liam Sheedy has announced his first championship side of 2021 and it includes Seamus Callanan at full-forward. In total, there are 13 members of the 2019 All-Ireland winning side included in Tipperary’s team, debutant goalkeeper Barry Hogan and corner forward Jake Morris the two new additions.

Padraic Maher is named at full-back with Brendan Maher and Ronan Maher taking the wing-back spots. Noel McGrath partners Ballina’s Michael Breen in the middle of the park while the half-forward line contains Jason Forde, John McGrath and Dan McCormack.

Wexford’s James Owens is the referee for Sunday’s tie which throws in at 3:45pm at the Gaelic Grounds.
