COORACLARE OWNED Lissatouk Sydney won one of the feature finals in Galway over the weekend.

Friday night’s Galway card featured two stake finals over the 350 yards sprint trip with the finals of both the Barking Buzz App Novice 350 and the Bet On The Tote N2 deciders the twin features on the card which also featured the semi-finals of the Book Your Trials On Line A5 525 Yards Stake.
As the traps rose for the Bet on the Tote N2 Final, Rockmount Kismet was first to break rank with the striped jacketed Brickhill Dan moving inwards to join issue as they raced on the long trek towards the opening bend with Brickhill Dan moving inwards the outside was then left free for the Brid McMahon of Cooraclare owned Lissatouk Sydney who stormed round the outside approaching the turn to take over at the head of affairs. Between the two bends, Lissatouk Sydney extended the advantage to over three lengths and maintaining the temp off the home bend the son of Deerjet Sydney and Twentylittletoes eased home four lengths clear of Brickhill Dan in 19.25.
All six runners were away pretty much on terms for the A7 graded contest and before they reached the back straight Pronto Bucks, Burnpark Boomer and Five Alley Bruce all had a turn at the head of affairs with Five Alley Bruce leading the charge as they closed on the halfway mark. At this point, Five Alley Bruce led by two lengths from Pronto Bucks who began to close approaching the third bend.
At the bend the Frank Casey of Newmarket-on-Fergus owned Pronto Bucks (Burgess Bucks-Churchtown Mimee) went for a daring run along the rails eventually striking the front on the crown of the bend . Up the straight Burnpark Blossom closed with every stride but Pronto Bucks prevailed by a neck at the line in 29.92.
The semi-finals of the Ann Cheevers Memorial A3 525 Yards Stake were the twin features on Saturday night’s card at Galway Greyhound Stadium and following the two semis, a cracking battle looks assured on Saturday night next to decide the destination of the €2000 to two winner first prize for the stake generously sponsored by the Cheevers Family .
In the second semi-final of the Ann Cheevers Sweepstake, Notsobadnow was very smartly into his stride in the centre of the track and he showed pace on the run up to lead from Laois Lightening with Brickhill Como also showing pace on the outer. Rounding the bend the leader maintained a middle route and this gifted the freedom of the inside to the red jacketed Laois Lightening and the Gordon Vaughan owned son of Ballymac Anton and Old Treasure needed no second invitation as he set sail for the judge entering the back straight. Striding clear down the back the Donie Duggan of Tulla trained runner was out in splendid isolation leaving the far side as he coasted home four lengths clear of Lissatouk Robbie in 28.97.
From Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday evening Tiermana Hunter, put in a fine performance with his 29.86 effort in the semi-final of the Limerick Brakes A1 550, owned by the Kilmihil/Cooraclare based Supping Away syndicate and trained by Colm Fitzgerald this was this son of Ballyhimikin Jet and Termana Jetts eleventh career win.
There was an eye-catching debut by Long Walk Luke for Sixmilebridge trainer Stephen Murray, owned by the HVJ Syndicate, this son of Orchestare and Highview Audi winning time was 28.73.
From Thursdays SIS Meeting, there was a training double for Myles Cummins from Newmarket-on-Fergus, Jacop Star notched his tenth career win in 29.52 and his litter brother Snuggie Battie took the honours in an impressive 28.76 to notch his seventh career success, there are son of Jacob Tashadelek and Miles Girl.
