Gardaí in Ennis are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run traffic collision which occurred earlier this month.

No persons were injured in the incident which occurred at 8.01 p.m. on Friday, 10th of September 2021 at the traffic lights just up from Coláiste Muire secondary school on Harmony Row.

Damage to a black 212 Volkswagen Passat was recorded. The driver had stopped at a red light with the intention of going straight over Club Bridge but as the driver waited for the green light another car which Gardaí say was either silver or grey with a 10 or 12 registration hit the rear of the car and then reversed back towards the entrance gates of Coláiste Muire and drove away in the direction of the Maid of Erin roundabout.

Persons that witnessed the collision or may possess further information are asked to contact Ennis Garda Station on (065) 684 8100.
