Two years on from claiming the Clare Junior A Hurling Championship for the first time in the history, O’Callaghans Mills finally got to toast to their success when they gathered for a victory social at Hotel Woodstock.

In a tie that went to extra time, the final finished 4-17 0-23 in the Mills’ favour when they overcame the challenge of Kilmaley at Fr Murphy Memorial Park in Newmarket-on-Fergus. The occasion was made more special with Joe Cooney in one of his final acts as Clare GAA Chairman getting to present the trophy to winning captain Barry Heffernan.
