ENNIS’ St Patrick’s Day parade once again brought huge crowds to the county town.

Abbey Street’s role as a civic space in the heart of Ennis was once again demonstrated with the car park serving as the primary outlet for members of the public to view the various floats on display.

Uileann piper, Blackie O’Connell and women’s health advocate Dr Máire Finn served as grand marshals for the Ennis parade.

The parade began at Áras Chontae an Chláir and travelled along the New Rd to Steele’s Terrace where groups proceeded to travel over Club Bridge, into Abbey Street car park, up Bank Place and disbanded at the Maid of Eireann with walkers concluding in the Coláiste Mhuire car park.

‘We love Clare because..’ was the theme of the 2025 parade in Ennis. Clare Macra won the award for most creative float, Ennis Tidy Towns won best interpretation of theme and Clare Tourism was deemed the most entertaining entrant.
