Christmas lights

Chrimbo will FINALLY arrive in Ennis tomorrow evening as the Christmas Lights will be switched on, with the ceremony taking place at Ennis Indoor Market at 5pm.

It will be preceded by a children’s treasure trail around the Market and Lower Market St areas, supported by the businesses located in those areas.  There will be face Painting, balloon modelling  and the special arrival of Santa Claus himself. The Mayor of the Municipal District of Ennis Cllr. Paul Murphy will perform the official switch-on while entertainment will be provided by The Holy Family National School Choir, Sean O’Malley (local singer/songwriter) and local Theatrical Group, Pantaloons.

Ger Sweeney will DJ, in what promises to be a lively afternoon of family friendly entertainment.

As a result traffic diversions may be in place in the Market area from 4.00pm to 5.30pm.

Head to the Indoor Market for before 5pm to find a good spot and see the lights being switched on.

We can’t wait!
