A do not swim notice has been put in place at White Stand in Miltown Malbay.
On Tuesday afternoon, Clare County Council confirmed that following advice from the HSE, a prohibition on swimming has been put in place at the popular spot in West Clare.
It comes due to increased bacterial levels in the bathing water as a result of recent rainfall.
