Dermot Coughlan’s return as Clare minor football manager has already been confirmed, it appears Colm Collins and Seamus Clancy will also continue in their respective roles in charge of the senior and U20 sides.

Speaking this week, Chairman of the Clare County Board, Joe Cooney outlined that a definite decision regarding Colm Collins’ future as senior manager will be known early next week after he sits down with his backroom team. The Cratloe clubman is believed to be returning for a seventh season in charge following strong persuasions from experienced members of the panel including captain Gary Brennan, David Tubridy and Gordon Kelly.

Dermot Coughlan’s return as minor manager had previously been confirmed while Cooney outlined that U20 boss Seamus Clancy is expected to stay on. “At the moment we are working on the football managements, we have been talking to the senior football manager, he is talking to his backroom team early next week and after that we’ll be making a final decision. Hopefully Colm Collins and his backroom team will be staying on.

“We’ve also spoke to the minor and U20 football managements, they are considering their positions at the moment, my belief is they will stay on but we will be talking to them next week”.
