Click for Clare

THE Clare Echo has teamed up with Local Enterprise Office Clare to launch Click for Clare 2021.

This marks the return of the campaign which was hugely succesful in its first year in 2020. The initiative was designed to drive local website traffic to Clare businesses with an online store.

Last year’s Click For Clare campaign captured more than 62,000 online page views during its two-month run while reaching a print audience of in the region of 45,000 readers.

In teaming up with Local Enterprise Office Clare, we acknowledge that consumer trends are continuing to evolve as shoppers migrate to online markets. However this year’s campaign will also remind shoppers of the exciting physical retail offering available in Clare with the #LookForLocal hashtag.

Throughout the lead-up to Christmas and into the January sales, Click for Clare will connect online shoppers with businesses in County Clare. Businesses which sign up to Click for Clare will be added to our interactive business directory which is available on The Clare Echo website. The listing will be marketed extensively via online and print. This will run alongside an editorial campaign in the vital weeks leading into Christmas and the January sales.

Padraic McElwee, Head of Enterprise said, “In 2020, our local communities demonstrated fantastic support for our many local businesses. The Click For Clare campaign run by The Clare Echo in partnership with the Local Enterprise Office played a key role in making it easy for people to find local businesses who offered an online service. This year we are renewing that partnership with The Clare Echo in once again promoting businesses in Clare and asking you to support them.

“Your support is vital to ensure our many important local businesses overcome the unprecedented challenge of Covid. This year you have the additional benefit of either buying on line, ‘click and collect’ or visit your favourite business. Whatever option you choose, make sure you #lookforlocal.
