CLARE Local Development Company (CLDC) are kicking off their mentoring programme tonight with an online meeting.

CLDC, in partnership with Fiona Levie of Levie Consulting, has announced the launch of the Connecting Clare Communities Training and Mentoring Programme, running January to December 2026. This community-led initiative offers workshops, webinars, mentoring, and networking to build capacity in areas like leadership, grant writing, and volunteer management.

These interactive sessions allow participants to co-create the programme, identifying key topics and outcomes for stronger community operations across Clare. Free to attend, community groups, residents’ associations, sports clubs, and emerging initiatives are encouraged to come along and contribute.

The programme opens with:

  • Online Kick-Off Meeting: Thursday, January 15, 2026, 7:00 PM (90-minute Zoom session).
  • In-Person Co-Design Workshop: Saturday, January 31, 2026 (time/venue TBC).

Registration required: To register and receive the Zoom link, email leader@cldc.ie.

Building on prior Connecting Clare Communities workshops since 2023, this LEADER-funded effort emphasises peer collaboration and soft supports for effective fundraising and structures.

Anneli Vaughan, Community Link Worker, said, “Connecting Clare Communities is built around what local people tell us they need. Join the Kick-Off and the co-design workshop so we can tailor training that helps groups and volunteers get things done.”
