CLARE’s senior footballers will face All-Ireland champions Kerry in the semi-final of the Munster championship.
Paul Madden’s first championship outing as manager of the county senior footballers will see Clare take on the reigning provincial and All-Ireland champions.
Times, fixtures and venues will be confirmed by Munster GAA in the coming weeks.
After initial plans to seed both Cork and Kerry in the semi-finals, Munster GAA opted to stick with the same format that sees the finalists from the previous year automatically through to the semi-finals.
“We’re all hoping we will have a competitive Munster championship,” said Munster GAA Chairman Tim Murphy while praising last year’s semi-final between Cork and Kerry.
Munster Senior Football Championship Quarter-Finals:
Tipperary vs Waterford
Limerick vs Cork
Munster SFC semi-finals:
Tipperary or Waterford vs Limerick or Cork
Clare vs Kerry
