THE Clare Association Dublin is making its final call for final call for nominations for its prestigious Clare Person of the Year award, with the closing date fast approaching on 28 June.
The organisation is also accepting nominations for its Clare people Hall of Fame and its new Young Person of the Year Award.
The awards celebrate outstanding Clare people who have made a significant contribution in areas such as business, community development, education, healthcare, sport, culture, public service and voluntary work, both at home and abroad.
Previous winners of the Clare POTY award include former football manager Colm Collins, CEO of Shannon Airport Group Mary Considine, former Deputy Garda Commissioner Anne Marie McMahon and activist Laura Brennan. Professor Michael Kerin was honoured with the 2025 Hall of Fame Award. Together, they reflect the exceptional calibre of individuals associated with County Clare and the significant impact they have made in Ireland and internationally.
The Association is encouraging individuals, clubs, schools, businesses and community groups to put forward deserving candidates before nominations close.
Commenting on the awards, Clare Association Chairperson Ciarán O’Connell said that “Every year we receive inspiring nominations that showcase the talent, leadership and community spirit that exists throughout County Clare and across the Clare diaspora. If there is someone whose achievements deserve recognition, now is the time to nominate them”, reiterating that entry closes on June 28th 2026.
Nominations can be submitted by emailing info@clareassociationdublin.ie or through the Association’s members directly, website and social media channels. The successful recipients will be honoured at the Clare Association Dublin Annual Awards Ceremony later this year.
