FOUR CARS for sale at a Newmarket-on-Fergus garage were damaged following an early morning incident prior to Christmas.

Several traffic cones and hazard bollards were taken from the edge of the forecourt of NI18 Autos on the Ennis Rd in Newmarket-on-Fergus at approximately 2:20 on Saturday December 18th.

These cones and bollards were placed on the bonnets and roofs of four cars for sale on the forecourt causing paint and scratch damage to the cars. The forecourt is the old former Great Gas service station across from the grounds of Newmarket Celtic.

While CCTV footage is believed to have captured some of the activity, Gardaí in Newmarket-on-Fergus are appealing for witnesses who have may have driven past the village after 2am on December 18th to contact the Garda Station on 061 368172.
