QUIN TAX partner Fergal Cahill has joined the board of Limerick Chamber.

Fergal is one of four new members elected to the board of the business representation and development organisation alongside Regeneron’s Denise Croker, Éanna Brennan of EY and Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs with UL, Laura Ryan.

They attended their first Chamber board meeting of the new cycle in March. Current board members include CEO of the Shannon Airport Group, Mary Considine and Shannon native Damien Garrihy who oversees AIB’s Business Banking section in Clare and Limerick.

A native of Cork, Fergal is a tax partner in Deloitte’s private client tax practice. He joined Deloitte in June 2022 as a partner following the successful merger of his Ennis-based tax advisory practice, Cahill Taxation Services. The Ennis company was established in 2007 and boasted

Cahill has over 25 years of experience advising a broad range of clients including private business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and families on all aspects of their tax affairs. He has particular expertise in dealing with family business succession, business exits, corporate reorganizations, tax controversies, and property transactions.

CEO of Limerick Chamber, Michelle Gallagher said of the new additions to the board. “Their commitment to the Limerick Chamber and the local business community is truly commendable”.

She expressed gratitude to Noel Crowe and Laurence Garric for their active participation in this highly competitive election”. Ennistymon native Crowe had been on the board of Ennis Chamber prior to his promotion with Bank of Ireland where he is now manager of their branches on O’Connell Street and Castletroy.

Limerick Chamber’s decision to run a public vote to elect board members is a new approach and one not applied by Chambers of Commerce across the country.
