UP TO forty properties across Doonbeg and Kilrush are without water after a main burst in West Clare.

Crews from Uisce Éireann are working with Clare County Council to restore a burst in a watermain in the Doonbeg area.

Approximately forty properties have been impacted and areas affected include Glascloune, Baltard, Bealaha, Farrihy, Doonmore, Doonbeg and Kilrush.

Dedicated water service crews have mobilised and repairs are expected to be completed by tomorrow (Wednesday). Typically, it takes two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.

A spokesperson for Uisce Éireann stated, “We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we work to return the water supply to customers as quickly as possible”.
