Mention the European Union in 2019 and one of the first items that springs to mind is of course Brexit.

As human beings, we have developed a grá for making associations and connections especially those of from and living on the Emerald Isle. It therefore comes as no surprise that Kilmihil’s Eoin Keane who works in public affairs in Brussels, the city that is home to the headquarters of the European Union is asked on a regular basis for updates on all matters Brexit.

On Wednesday, Eoin tweeted a photograph of what has become his natural response to any such queries.

RTÉ’s European Editor, Tony Connelly may have been tempted to take a leaf out of Keane’s book over the two years reporting on Brexit and the slow pace of progress there seems to be with the UK’s desire or lack of to leave the European Union.

While The Clare Echo cannot guarantee the tweet will prevent personnel from seeking Brexit updates from Eoin, we’re confident he will field less questions on the subject on the next occasions he returns home to Kilmihil.
