Blossom on the Go provides it’s tip for the final week in February.

Over the last few days its been mixed but when that sun shines its gives that feel good factor we have all been waiting for. We have been busy filling planter of all shapes and sizes this past week and I thought why not tell ye about them. I have had a lot of request for long lasting planter with possible a flower in them and yes this is possible of course . One of my favourites is the wallflower (Erysimum) is canning flower from Spring right through to winter and my favourite bit is the lovely aroma that is gives. Depending on the room in the planter one can be sufficient and if there is room to add more another, I love to add is perennial these are the ones that come back each year. Campanula is lovely you can see that draping blue hanging over the pot., this will give you a lovely long flowering planter.

Herb Planter is another one that can have multi-purpose and can be used ain the kitchen for cooking as well as adding colour and a lovely aroma to any planter the rosemary with the blue flower is lovely and the golden thyme give a nice texture to any planter as well as the fennel with its wavy like structure.

Another one of my favourite shrubs to use is the Hebe family there is a lovely range of smaller size hebes that grow between one and two feet and are ideal for planters and can be fabulous on their own or with other plants we often add some primula which will give nice colour until the summer plants are available.

If its pots for an occasion like communion, confirmation with colour or whether you are looking for a long lasting planter anything can be possible so if we can help you with decided be sure to send us a message or call in we are happy to help .

I am so excited that March is nearly hear and we can start hopefully on the vegetables next week.
