SCARIFF/OGONNELLOE remain steadfast in their ambition to be crowned Munster champions for the second time in their history.

Tipperary side Drom & Inch stand in the way of the East Clare outfit securing a second ever Munster senior camogie championship, their first title claimed in 2019.

Ciara Doyle who lined out at full-back in Saturday’s 1-08 0-08 win over Inniscarra felt the tie showed similarities with their county final clash with Truagh/Clonlara. “We started slow again just like the county final. It was hard being our first competitive game back but we didn’t train St Stephen’s morning not to get to a Munster Final.

She added, “We worked so hard. We didn’t panic and we grinded it out again today. Alva got the important goal at the right time and the younger girls showed great wise heads when needed it most”.

Aspects of referee Mike Flannery’s performance were questioned by the Clare defender. “The referee I thought was harsh on both sides. We are trying to promote Camoige make it more physical more appealing let the rucks develop let the game flow”.

Doyle highlighted the determination within the Scariff/Ogonnelloe ranks. “We want people to see the work we put in but look it we are in a Munster Final. We worked so hard to be the best team in Clare. We are going to work even harder to be the best team in Munster We know it won’t be easy we have history with Drom & Inch but we will do everything we can. We want to prove to everyone we are the best team”.
