The Autumn league final at Woodstock will take place on this Sunday commencing at 11am when all four pairings will play their matches.

Last week’s club singles was won by Vincent O’Grady (29) with 41 points from Colm Mullen (4) with 38 points. This weekend’s competition will be a club fourball

Dromoland Golf Club:

The ladies 9 hole team of three competition was a great success at Dromoland with the leading three teams all returning 23 points. The winners were Julie Fitzgerald, Cora O’Toole and Katrina O’Neill followed by Mary Rogers, Frances Bergin and Jo Linnane while third spot was filled by Joan Ryan, Mairead Toomey and Leslie O’Flynn.

Ennis Golf Club:

In week three of the November Spirits 14 holes stableford re entry competition, the winner was Rita O’Brien (20) with 27 points. In second place with 24 points was Una O’Reilly (36) followed by Ann A  Gallery (18), also with 24 points.  Ann Pyne Gallery (29) was fourth and she also had 24 points, one more that Geraldine 0’Rourke (33).

In the 9 hole stableford competition Sinead Hegarty (9) was the winner with 18 points from Ann Casey (13) with 14 and Della Burns (10) with 13.

Last week’s senior ladies competition was over 11 holes and the winners with 23 points, were Claire Ruane, Eileen J Corry and Maeve O’Grady from Brid Cunningham, Margaret McEnery and Mary Glynn with 22 points with third spot filled by Ann Kelly, Bernie Brooks and Kathleen Pyne with 19 points.

Kilrush Golf Club:

Patrick Coleman (11) won the men’s weekly Winter turkey competition at Kilrush with 30 points from John Stapleton (14) with 30 points with third spot filled by Cyril Kelly (12) with 29 points.

Haven Arms:

Kilrush was the venue on Saturday for the Haven Arms society’s Christmas scramble competition when the winners were Seamus O’Doherty, Noel Thornton and Jim Kelly from Matt Fennell, Denis Nagle and Michael Twomey.

Shannon Golf Club:

Last week’s 15 hole turkey challenge at Shannon was won by Aidan O’Donovan with 41 points from Brendan Healy with 36. This week’s 15 hole competition will be for Christmas hampers.
