Draws for the concluding stages of a number of hurling championships were made at a meeting of the CCC at Clareabbey on Monday evening.

Neighbours Corofin and Ruan will clash in the Clare IHC, the clubs have amalgamated to great success at minor level in the county in recent years, many former teammates will now find themselves in opposition against each other.

Last year’s beaten finalists Tubber have been handed a difficult test in the form of Smith O’Briens. St Josephs Doora/Barefield are among the favourites for the honours and they will carry this tag into their meeting with Bodyke while Tulla’s hopes of returning to the senior ranks will depend on them emerging past the challenge of Sixmilebridge’s second side.

Two sides will be relegated from the intermediate ranks with the loser of these semi-finals dropping down a division.

Pairings were also made for the quarter-finals in the Junior A and C competitions plus the Junior B semi-finals and Junior A relegation.
