Clareโ€™s senior football side to take on Laois in their first outing of 2021 has been named.

At training on Friday evening, Colm Collins announced the starting fifteen to commence Clareโ€™s campaign in the 2021 Allianz National Football League Division 2 (South).

Injury has kept Podge Collins and Conor Jordan of Austin Stacks out of the first fifteen but the pair could yet feature from the bench when Clare welcome Laois to Cusack Park on Sunday. The tie forms part of a double header with the county hurlers hosting Wexford as a curtain raiser.

Darragh Bohannon of Shannon Gaels is named at midfield alongside Cathal Oโ€™Connor as Collins attempts to find a successor to Gary Brennan at lรกr na pรกirce.

Eoin Cleary captains the side from centre forward flanked by Pearse Lillis and Jamie Malone while Cian Oโ€™Dea has been handed the number six jersey.

No debutants are included in the Banner line-up but it will be the first time that Clare have opted for a full-forward line containing Gavin Cooney, Keelan Sexton and Joseph McGann.
