Two major local derbies are on the cards in the Clare SHC quarter-finals with some exciting clashes also in store for the Clare IHC last eight.

Reigning senior champions Sixmilebridge take on the current intermediate champions Broadford in an exciting local derby in the last eight of the Clare SHC in a game that will split families and be sure to cause fierce debate in the next fortnight.

After impressing with a comfortable win over Clooney/Quin at the weekend, Ballyea have been rewarded with a tough outing against Kilmaley who stuck four goals past Wolfe Tones.

O’Callaghans Mills caused an upset in overcoming Crusheen, once again they will go in as underdogs, this time they face Inagh/Kilnamona who have recorded victories against Clooney/Quin and Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Feakle will face an extended wait for their last eight outing. They will meet the winners of Cratloe versus Éire Óg.

In the intermediate quarter-finals, the clash of local rivals Tulla and Scariff is the pick of the round. Bodyke will have momentum from their weekend win over Clarecastle but face a much stiffer test in the guise of St Josephs Doora/Barefield. Tubber are paired against Sixmilebridge while Smith O’Briens will battle with the winners of Cratloe versus Corofin.
