Co Clare is now 30 days without an increase in COVID-19 cases.

A further two more people have died in the Republic of Ireland from COVID-19, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre have confirmed. It brings the death toll in the country to 1,746.

Officials with the HPSC have also been notified of an extra 23 cases. One case has been de-notified leaving the total amount of cases to date at 25,611.

For the thirtieth day in succession, Co Clare has not recorded an increase in COVID-19 cases. 368 persons to date have tested positive for the virus in the county.

Coastal locations across the county have been reported to be busy with visitors from all over the country. Health officials have cautioned that it only takes one case to lead to a cluster forming in an area.

Flights from COVID-19 hotspots in the United States of America have landed in Dublin Airport over the past 48 hours causing additional concern that a second wave is looming for the country.
