*Mike Frawley & Darren Siggins following Wexford’s Leinster SHC win this summer.
Mullagh’s Mike Frawley has been appointed as the lead strength and conditioning coach of the Westmeath senior hurlers.
At the beginning of October, former Dublin camogie boss Shane O’Brien was confirmed as Joe Quaid’s successor in The Lake County. Ex Tipperary coach, Paudie O’Neill and former Galway dual player Alan Kerins are two new additions to his management team along with Frawley while Brendan Murtagh is staying on as selector.
Frawley had been part of Davy Fitzgerald’s backroom team in Wexford for the past three seasons. An opportunity to join the Westmeath set-up prompted the LIT graduate’s decision to leave Wexford. He was also the strength coach of the Sixmilebridge side which won the Clare SHC this year. On top of his GAA commitments, Mike is employed by Ennis gym, Hustle Fitness.
Westmeath will compete in Division One of the Allianz National Hurling League next year.
