A Vietnamese woman is to appear before a special sitting of Ennis District Court on Sunday evening following the seizure of drugs estimated to be worth €90,000 at Killaloe on Friday.

As part of an intelligence led operation, Gardaí carried out a search at a premises at Tinarana, Killaloe. The Clare Divisional Drugs Unit were supported by local uniform and plainclothes Gardaí, the Western Region Armed Support Unit and the Cork Garda Dog Unit.

A significant grow house was discovered with the evidence of the production of Cannabis at all stages (nursery, mature plants, dried plants). A large number of plants were found with an estimated street value of €90,000.

Gardaí arrested a woman in her early twenties at the scene and she was detained under section four of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Ennis Garda Station.

Following this intelligence led operation the Vietnamese female is to be brought before a Special sitting of Ennis District Court at 6pm today (Sunday) charged in connection with the case.
