Shannon born Ryan Nolan is in Inter Milan’s matchday squad for their Europa League last 32 clash with Rapid Vienna tonight.

Although he featured for the Inter Milan first team in pre-season, the nineteen year old has not made his competitive debut for Luciano Spalletti’s side. His inclusion in the nineteen man squad is positive as the captain of the Nerazzurri’s youth outfit attempts to make the breakthrough to their first team.

Ryan and his family moved to Spain when he was eight years old, he had played at underage level with Park Rangers prior to that. At the age of 16, he signed for Inter Milan he signed for Inter Milan having been scouted by Pierluigi Casiraghi, the man responsible for bringing Mario Balotelli and Philippe Coutinho to the San Siro.

Nolan has been capped au U17 and U19 level for the Republic of Ireland and U21 manager Stephen Kenny said recently the highly promising defender is on his radar.
