Reidy cleared of suspension

David Reidy has been cleared to play in next weekend’s Munster senior hurling final.

He successfully appealed the one game suspension that was handed down following his dismissal against Limerick in Cusack Park following an altercation with Diarmuid Byrnes. The Éire Óg man requested a hearing and the Central Hearings Committee found “the infraction not proven”.

Initially the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) took disciplinary action against him alleging a breach of Rule 7.2 Category III T.0. 2018 “striking with a hurley with minimal force”.

Joint manager Donal Moloney is also attending a hearing in Croke Park today, he is seeking to appeal a two month proposed ban. The Scariff man was cited following an altercation with a match official in Thurles following their two point win over Tipperary.
