John Burke

CLARE Person of the Year and Elevate founder John Burke will be on hand to launch ‘Piece of Mind’ in Kilrush this Thursday.

Piece of Mind is an information booklet on mental health that highlights the services available at local and national level when help is needed.

It also has information on how to spot the signs of mental health struggles and the symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety and other issues.

The booklet was produced by Ennis Mental Health Association in collaboration with West Clare MHA, North Clare MHA and Shannon MHA.

A spokesperson for West Clare Mental Health Association said the organisation hopes the booklet will be able to help as many people as possible.

“We are looking forward to launching the Booklet on Thursday evening in Kilrush Community Centre and plan to distribute the Booklet as widely as possible throughout West Clare so that as many people as possible benefit from this great resource,” the spokesperson added.

The launch will take place in Kilrush Community Centre this Thursday (March 15), with refreshments at 5.30pm and the launch by John Burke at 6pm.

The launch was due to take place a couple of weeks ago, but was postponed due to Storm Emma.

It’s all systems go for this Thursday though, so those seeking more information can contact westclaremha@mentalhealthireland.ie.
