No new deaths as a result of COVID-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours while Co Clare has gone ten days without an additional case, 6 new cases are known across the country.

Across the entire island of Ireland, no new deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours. The death toll in the Republic of Ireland stands at 1,715. Of this total figure, it includes 32 individuals from Co Clare.

Officials within the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) have confirmed 6 additional cases across the country with 1 case de-notified. 25,379 people have tested positive for the virus, to date.

Co Clare has now gone ten days without any new cases, the longest stretch of time since the outbreak of COVID-19 here in March.

“Days like this are a cause for hope and reenergise us all to keep going and to follow closely public health advice,” Minister for Health, Simon Harris (FG) tweeted.
