CLARE’S U20 footballers have named an unchanged team for the third outing in this year’s championship but the venue for their tie with Limerick has been changed.
Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale will now host the third round game in Phase 1 of the Munster U20 championship. Mountcollins had been the original venue but a pitch inspection on Friday morning deemed it to be “an unplayable surface”. Throw-in is at 19:00.
Dermot Coughlan and his management team have opted against altering their starting team. With two wins from as many outings, Clare have secured their place in phase two but the approach is focused on maintaining momentum and familiarity within the squad.
Louis Griffin remains sidelined with a collarbone injury with Aidan Weaver retaining his spot in defence as a result.
There is one change among the Clare substitutes with James Rafferty, corner back on last year’s minor side included as Ralph Whelehan of St Joseph’s Miltown misses out.
