CLARE will be represented in eleven grades for the juvenile All-Ireland handball semi-finals this weekend.
Semi-finals take place at the National Handball Centre on Saturday with the finals down for decision on Sunday. Clare will be represented in 11 grades on Saturday in boys and girls, singles and doubles from 14-17. Munster winners play Ulster and Connacht play Leinster.
The semi-final fixtures involving Clare players are as follows:

Munster Cumann na mBunscoil:
Munster Cumann na mBunscol competitions took place at the weekend with all games from quarter finals to finals listed. The girls were in Nenagh and had great success with gold medals and Munster titles going to Ava Considine, Clarecastle NS (U11 singles), Saoirse Frost, Kilkishen NS (U13 singles) and Sophia Moroney/Ella Kirby, Clonmoney NS (U13 doubles).
There were silver medals for Conor Donovan, Kilkishen NS (U11 singles), Sean Neville/Eanna Frost, Kilkishen NS (U11 doubles), Callum Counihan, O’Callaghan’s Mills NS (U13 singles) and Jack Kirby/Conal Early, Clonmoney NS (U13 doubles).
The winners progress to the National Cumann na mBunscol day in Croke Park, National Handball Centre on March 19 where all Provincial winners play each other.

Division 4 league title for Clooney/Quin:
ClooneyQuin were crowned division 4 champions with a win over Kilkishen. The members of the winning team are Donnacha Cantwell, Dermot O’Halloran, Sean Garvey and Sean McGee while the Kilkishen team included Martin Bon, Lochlann Collins, Jamie Moroney and Alan O’Dea. ClooneyQuin won on a score of 77 to 67.
Munster Doubles Championships:
In the Munster masters B doubles final Clare’s Shane Walsh and Mike Baker will play Cork’s Jonathan Lucey and Tim Breen on this Thursday, March 5 at Broadford at 8pm.
At the same time on Thursday in Liscarroll, Clare’s Oisin Donnellan and Allan Leamy will take on Cork’s Bosco Hurley and Tadhg Jones in the junior B doubles semi-final while the other semi-final will see Tony Leyden and Evan Corbett from Tullla face Waterford’s Roddy Morrissey ad Willllian Beresford.
On this Friday evening at Cappagh at 7.30p.m. Seanie Doyle and Tiernan Slattery from Clare will face Cork’s Donnacha \O’Connor and Eoghan Daly in the junior doubles final.
Tuangraney will be the venue on Friday evening at 8p.m. for the ladies over 35 final between Clare’s Annemarie Hegarty and Clare Kennedy and the Tipperary pairing of Karen Monaghan and Ann Marie Ryan.
At Tulla on the same evening at 8pm Angela Floyd and Emma O’Driscoll will carry Clare hopes in the junior B doubles semi-final when they take on Cork’s Sarah Walsh and Muireann O’Brien.
Tulla is also the venue on this Friday evening for the ladies masters B doubles final which is an all Clare affair with Olivia Cullinan and Mary Higgins taking on Ora Considine and Sheila Sexton.
