SCHOOLS in Ennis and Spanish Point are to benefit from significant investments.
The announcement comes as part of the second tranche of new special classes allocated nationwide, which will see a record number of new special classes sanctioned across the country to open for the 2026/2027 school year.
Expressing his delight at the allocation, Minister Timmy Dooley (FF) said, “I am delighted today to hear from my Fianna Fáil colleague Minister Michael Moynihan that two new special classes have been allocated to County Clare. Included in the allocation is Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Cíosóg Inis in Ennis and St Joseph’s Secondary School in Spanish Point”
He added, “These additional resources will have enormous benefits for students, teachers, and parents in Clare. Everybody is entitled to an education.”
