ENNIS’ Áine Donegan has secured her European Tour card for 2026 following a joint fifth place finish in the Lalla Aicha Q-School in Morocco.

Áine is one of twenty golfers to earn their full LET cards for the 2026 season. She shot a bogey-free, three under 70 at Al Maaden Golf Marrakech on Saturay to tie for fifth on 13 under with Scotland’s Hannah Darling, Nigeria’s Georgia Oboh and France’s Emma Grechi.

Leading qualifier status was gained by Áine earlier this month which meant a top ten finish in Morocco would secure her card. The twenty three year old had won her pre-qualifier by eight strokes on 13=under. She was 26-under for seven rounds, carding rounds of 70, 66, 67 in pre-qualifying, followed by rounds of 72, 67, 68 and 70 at the Final Stage.

Claiming the tour card has Donegan in high spirits. “I’m over the moon and looking forward to next year, it is nice to have a more clear picture of what next year looks like,” she said.

A Curtis Cup last September, she admitted there has been a burden to try match the feats of her teammates from the Great Britain & Ireland outfit who defeated the United States of America for the first time since 2016. “I think there’s kind of an added pressure as well to being on that team because everyone has done so well. They’ve all done really well and you’ve learned from them. I have to give a big shout out to Anna Foster, I know she wasn’t on that Curtis Cup team but she gave me so much advice coming to Morocco, even where to stay and what to eat. I couldn’t have done it without a lot of people who have helped me preparing for this event.

A member of Lahinch Golf Club and Woodstock Golf Club, Áine turned professional in October and last July signed a partnership deal with Ei Electronics.
