ÉIRE Óg began their title defence in the TUS Clare SFC with a statement 2-23 0-11 win over Cratloe with Colm Walsh O’Loghlen earning himself Martin Daly Autos/The Clare Echo player of the week award.
Colm who was named as man of the match in last year’s county final was again in fine form as Shane Daniels side started their campaign on a high.
Corner forward Walsh O’Loghlen kicked seven points over the hour, showing his ability to score off either foot, converting four from his right boot and three from his left in a very impressive display.
He was presented with his award by Martin Daly of Martin Daly Autos.
