CLARE’S senior footballers enter the white heat of championship this Saturday but it’s a tie with a lot on the line so far as their season is concerned.

A win propels Clare into a third successive Munster final but also a return to the All-Ireland SFC whereas a defeat would see them line out in the Tailteann Cup for the first time.

As championship kicks off, we’re delighted to announce the return of The Water Break. The Clare Echo’s Head of News & Sport, Páraic McMahon is joined by All-Ireland intermediate winner and ex Clare ladies footballer Áine Kelly and Brian Carson, former Clare coach for three seasons under Colm Collins’ tenure.

Clare begin their championship in earnest this Saturday at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Cíosóg meeting Tipperary at 2pm in the Munster semi-final.
