COLAISTE MUIRE’S senior ladies football side are hoping it will be third time lucky this Thursday when they take on St. Mary’s Macroom in the Munster C football final at Mallow at 11am.

This is the school’s third senior C final in four years, losing to Sacred Heart Clonakilty in 2022 and Skibbereen CS in 2023.

To get to the final the Ennis side won their three group games against  St Flannans (7-14 to 4-10), Ennistymon CS (6-15 to 1-2) and Kilrush CS  (7-9 to 1-9) at the end of last year

In the North Muster final they beat Hazelwood, Dromcollogher, 3-11 to 2-7 at the University of Limerick grounds in December.

The Munster semi-final was played on January 20 and here Colaiste were 9-9 to 4-4 winners over Presentation, Mitchelstown.

Colaiste’s final opponents won the Munster junior C title in 2023-24 and the junior B title in 2024-25. Their squad includes six current Cork under 16’s and two Cork minors.

The team members are Eabha O’Driscoll, Lucy Power, Lyndsay Clarke, Sophie Leahy, Elisha Rowland, Sarah Keavey, Amy Reynolds (Doora/Barefield); Abbie Cahill, Sophie Culleton, Ria Meaney, Ivanna Costello, Sadbh Griffin (Fergus Rovers), Molly Potter & Addison O’Loughlin (Clarecastle) and Caoimhe McDonnell (Clooney Quin).
