BOTH Clare and Kilkenny have named their starting teams for Saturday’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final.

As per the named team, Aidan McCarthy has regained his place in the first fifteen with Aron Shanagher listed among the substitutes but a more definitive side will not be known until closer to the throw-in.

For the first time this year, Ryan Taylor is listed among the substitutes and the Clooney/Quin clubman is expected to get game time during the semi-final.

Tony Kelly will captain the Clare side, he is listed at wing forward but positional switches to the announced team are expected.

Clare GAA have released a special video announcing the team selection with representatives from each club of starting members of the team featured.

It is the third year in a row that the two counties will meet in the All-Ireland semi-final with Clare bidding to reach the All-Ireland final for the first time since 2013. The counties met in this year’s Allianz National Hurling League final where Clare won on a scoreline of 3-16 1-20.
