Extra time was required as Truagh/Clonlara showcased the old adage of ‘goals win matches’ remained true as ever when they overcame a previously unbeaten Inagh/Kilnamona on Saturday afternoon.

On what is a big weekend for the South-East Clare club, the ladies showed the way and displayed bundles of resilience. It was a good example for the men to follow and indeed many of their senior hurling panel were among the crowd in the county grounds with John Conlon part of the management team.
