Clare has recorded 15 new cases of COVID-19 representing an increase for the third day in succession.

Nationally, 552 additional cases are now known to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre. The Department of Health has stated that 173 of these are in Dublin with 86 in Cork, 40 in Limerick, 30 in Donegal, 15 in Clare leaving the remaining 208 across all other counties.

Once again, Clare’s incidence rate (229.8) per 100k of the population remains below the national rate (253.5). Eleven counties have an incidence rate higher than the national figure.

There have been a further two deaths related to the virus bringing the death toll across the country to 1,915.

Latest data from Irish hospitals which is from 2pm on Sunday has revealed that 47 persons are in ICUs across the country with 283 individuals being treated in hospitals. 17 hospitalisations were recorded over the past 24 hours.
