CLAREโ€™s ALL-Ireland intermediate ladies football campaign got off to a winning start on Sunday.

An arduous journey to Pรกirc Esler in Newry resulted in a 1-18 0-09 opening round win for Clare in the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Championship Group B.

West Clare Gaelsโ€™ Fidelma Marrinan goaled for Clare in the opening half which set Evan Taltyโ€™s side on their way to victory.

They held a comfortable 1-11 0-03 advantage at the interval and remained in the driving seat for the entirety of the second half.

Evan Taltyโ€™s charges welcome Louth to Clare on June 12th, a venue for the tie has yet to be confirmed. A win would secure their place in the knockout stages.
