*Tadhg and Ella Fitzpatrick shave their heads for the Irish Cancer Society

SIXTEEN year old Ella Fitzpatrick and her dad Tadhg have said goodbye to their luscious locks.

The Newmarket-on-Fergus teenager has “always wanted” to shave her head for charity and she finally took the plunge last week.

“I remember seeing other people shaving their hair for charity and I just knew that it was something I wanted to do and I know that my hair will grow back. I also have had some family and friends affected by cancer and sadly I feel that lots of people can relate,” Ella said.

They have raised over €5,000 for the Irish Cancer Society. Their fundraising page is still active and can be accessed here.
