GARDAÍ have arrested two men as part of an investigation into the discharge of a firearm and firebomb attack in Cloughleigh.

On Friday morning, two men both aged in their thirties were arrested in the Ennis area. Detectives leading the investigation had carried out a number of searches before the duo were arrested. They are currently detained at Ennis and Shannon Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Investigations will continue, Gardaí have confirmed.

No injuries were reported in the attack which occurred in the early hours of Monday November 22nd. A property at Pearse Avenue in Cloughleigh had a petrol bomb thrown at it while a firearm was also discharged.
