M18 Galway/Limerick

BE CAREFUL on the roads out there this morning as we have already had two reports of collisions on the M18 Galway/Limerick road.

Emergency services attended the scene on the northbound lane before junction 15 Crusheen where a vehicle struck a barrier.

According to AA Roadwatch, the crash has now been cleared.

Motorists also reported another incident on the M18 Galway Limerick road, which was also being attended by emergency services.

Met Eireann have a yellow weather warning in place for the whole country until 6am on Tuesday, with strong winds and heavy rain predicted for the whole weekend.

AA Roadwatch are advising motorists to keep extra breaking distance from the vehicle in front and to be mindful of pedestrians, motorcyclists and pedestrians.

There is a lot of surface water on the roads this morning, so take care!
