INJURY has ruled out Clare wing forward Ciaran Downes for Sunday’s Munster SFC final.

Kilmihil’s Downes misses out on a place in the matchday panel for Clare’s third Munster final in a row where they take on Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney at 13:45.

Downes’ omission is one of two changes to the side which defeated Tipperary in the semi-finals. Fionn Kelleher misses out on a starting spot but is named among the substitutes.

Ikem Ugwueru returns to action and is named in the half-back line while Daniel Walsh is included in the team for the first time in this year’s championship.
