TRUMP DOONBEG were among the twenty five tourism companies from Ireland to attend a recent ‘Meet in Ireland’ event held in London.

Tourism Ireland together with Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland held the ‘Meet in Ireland’ event at The Meetings Show in London recently where representatives from Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg were among the twenty five tourism companies in attendance.

These twenty five companies engaged in approximately 750 commercial meetings with global meeting and event planners during the two-day Meetings Show which is noted as a leading exhibition for business events. This is planned to deliver several business events for West Clare and Ireland from around the world.

Sales marketing manager with Trump Doonbeg, Linda Coleman was the representative for the five star West Clare hotel at the networking event.

Enabling thousands of commercial business meeting events this year is the goal from Tourism Ireland off the back of the Meetings Show. Their message is that Ireland offers a winning combination of world-class infrastructure, unique and luxurious accommodation, state-of-the-art venues, spectacular landscapes and the warmest of welcomes and fantastic hospitality, making it an ideal destination for meetings, incentive travel and events of all sizes.

David Boyce, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Business Events explained, “The Meetings Show provides an important platform for us to promote Ireland as a premier destination for Business Events and we were delighted to have 25 tourism companies from Ireland with us at this event. They engaged in hundreds of commercial meetings and showcased the best of Ireland to influential international meeting and incentive travel planners.

“Business travel is high value and often midweek and off season by its nature, thereby aligning with Tourism Ireland’s strategy to grow overseas tourism revenue outside of the peak summer season,” he added.
