TRAFFIC restrictions are to be implemented in parts of Ennis today (Sunday) with the staging of the Munster senior hurling championship first round between Clare and Cork.

Throw-in is at 2pm in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Cíosóg (Cusack Park) with over 20,000 spectators expected to be in attendance at the county grounds.

No match traffic will be allowed to access Francis Street except for permit/pass holders.
Vehicle access to Francis Street from the Clon Rd will be limited to residents and vehicles wishing to utilise Tesco shopping facility only, access will be restricted at the junction and car park entrance.

Shoppers may be restricted vehicle access at peak supporter movement times from 1pm to 2pm and from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Parking on Tulla Rd inbound will be fully restricted to enable ease of egress to post match to Junction 13 of the M18. There will be no parking in the vicinity of the grounds only for those with special parking passes. Patrons with parking passes for glór and Clare FM must access the area via the Causeway Link Rd (Temple Gate roundabout).

Supporters are advised that there is free parking at Clare County Council offices on the New Rd in Ennis. Paid for parking at a cost of €5 is available from the Holy Family School and Clare Marts.

Public car parks of Abbey Street, Parnell Street and the Market are also available for parking.

Where apparent, illegal parking will be dealt with by means of Fixed Charge Notice and/or towing if deemed so appropriate. Particular Garda attention will be paid to poor parking in residential areas off New Rd./Lifford Rd./Clon Rd. and Tulla Rd. FCNs will be issued. Vehicles parked in vicinity of Garda ‘No Parking’ Cones will receive a fixed charge penalty notice
