ON WHAT is a big weekend for soccer in Co Clare, we’ve a special edition of The Water Break.

Four Clare clubs are in action in the third round of the FAI Junior Cup and that forms the basis of our discussion on the video podcast.

The Clare Echo’s Head of News & Sport, Páraic McMahon is joined by FAI Football Development Officer and current Oscar Traynor coach, Denis Hynes and Donal Magee a man with experience of managing plenty of junior teams including Ballynanty Rovers, Bunratty and Shannon Town Utd.

Shannon Olympic’s Rob Clair joins us to look ahead to their showdown with Tralee Dynamos and to discuss how the club has enjoyed a turnaround in fortunes.

On the clár:

  • Fair Green Celtic’s lift in taking down Killarney Athletic
  • Role of Ross McCarthy & Eddie Shaw in Fair Green
  • Recruitment and organisation in Olympic
  • Home advantage factor
  • Mouth-watering tie of Avenue Utd vs Newmarket Celtic
  • Middle of the park the key battleground
