STARTING guns have signalled in the race for the Jack Daly, there were no massive surprises among the early fallers and no fatal blows have been sustained following the first round of action.

The Clare Echo’s online coverage of the Clare SFC is brought to you with thanks to The Shannon Springs Hotel.

Éire Óg’s tag as favourites has only been strengthened while the meeting of West Clare rivals Kilmurry Ibrickane and St Joseph’s Miltown served as one of the senior ties of the weekend.

Joining us on The Water Break to reflect on the weekend’s action, we have former Kilfenora footballer James Brody who was part of the Ennistymon minor winning championship management of 2023 and former Clare U20 goalkeeper coach for five seasons, Seán O’Brien who won three Clare SFCs as goalkeeper for St Joseph’s Miltown.

On the agenda:

    • Weekend highlights
    • Higher scoring spread to kick off the championship
    • Colm Collins rallying the troops
    • Extra belief for Kildysart & St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield
    • Ennistymon’s energy and old habits
