Frank Healy Park will host the meeting of Avenue Utd and Newmarket Celtic in the Ennis Carpets Clare Cup final on Saturday evening.

With the two top sides in Clare soccer and two of the top performing sides in the province doing battle, the final will attract plenty of interest.

As anticipation builds, The Water Break previews the Cup final. Páraic McMahon is joined by Bridge Utd boss Mark Culbert and ex Lifford FC manager Adrian Walsh to look ahead to the final.

Readers of The Clare Echo have also been able to enjoy our four page preview this week as we promote the biggest game in the Clare soccer calendar. Sincere thanks to Eoin Hayes and Mark Roche for giving of their time with interviews this week.

On the agenda:

  • Avenue’s momentum after winning league title
  • Newmarket’s determination to prevent a double
  • Midfield spine of Nnabuike Nneji & Steven McGann key for Avenue
  • Experienced bench & big-game know how in Newmarket-on-Fergus
  • Match ups that will define the 2024 Cup final
  • Facing off against Paddy Purcell & David Russell
  • Verdicts
