*Kilkee. OVER €77,000 has been raised to fund the legal challenge against a proposed wastewater treatment plant in Kilkee.
*A formal objection has been lodged by councillors. EAST CLARE councillors have formally objected to plans to extract water from the River Shannon to pipe Dublin’s leaking water network and have received the backing of fellow councillors from across the county for their stance.

*Parteen Basin. UISCE ÉIREANN have lodged plans for the State’s largest-ever water project which will see water drained from the Parteen Basin on the River Shannon to supply the capital.
*Cllr Tommy Guilfoyle (SF) flagged the matter. DISRUPTION caused by the Active Travel scheme on the Tulla Rd in Ennis has left local residents and businesses “very unhappy” according to elected representatives.
